Jessica Liggero, HHP & SIBO Practitioner

By guiding people to make incremental adjustments in their daily habits, Jessica Liggero is helping them to rebalance their health physically, emotionally and biochemically. Imbalances can stem from many different toxins, such as mold, bacteria, food additives and chemicals used to formulate personal care products. Liggero is a board-certified holistic health practitioner and founder of Rebalance Your Routine. She states emphatically, “People have the power to take back control of their health. There is so much you can do to prevent and reverse disease, if you take responsibility.” She specializes in Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) diet coaching, and detoxification.

SIBO is a gastrointestinal condition that affects the function of the small intestine. Symptoms include bloating, belching, farting, weight gain, weight loss, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, fatigue, joint pain, body aches, skin issues, food sensitivities, brain fog, depression and anxiety. Having completed her SIBO Practitioner trainings from Dr. Nirala Jacobi and Dr. Allison Siebecker, Liggero’s approach is to conduct a comprehensive assessment, provide a lot of education and break down the terminology, all before suggesting appropriate herbal supplements, diet and lifestyle changes. SIBO has a high relapse rate, so it’s important to understand the language and root causes. When one understands what it is, what causes it and what herbs and supplements can target specific bacterial issues, one is better able to become and remain SIBO free.

GAPS diet coaching is a proven approach to treating learning disabilities, mental disorders and autoimmune conditions, which stem from an unhealthy gut and improper detoxification. Nutrition can alleviate symptoms of autism, ADHD/ADD, dyslexia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, epilepsy, eating disorders and many other illnesses. An anti-inflammatory diet will help address the root causes of disease, and a rapidly growing body of scientific study is showing how gut health affects the function of the brain, causing fatigue, sleeplessness, increasing the frequency of headaches and moodiness.

“If something feels off, do something about it,” urges Liggero. “Conventional medicine waits until a problem reaches a diagnosable reverence range, when you may sense an issue far sooner. The sooner you address the problem, the easier, quicker and less costly it is to rebalance.”

Liggero begins by collecting a health history and requesting a three-day food log. “There is little point in doing functional testing until you correct certain habits. These changes can be small, and if you move at your own pace, you will be more likely to stick with these changes.” She adds that emotional support is part of the process. “We look at areas that need strengthening and need love, and I want people to feel they can do this. This is a space for everybody. It’s never too late to get healthier. Start today!”

Rebalance Your Routine is geared to create a regimen that helps individuals reach their health goals. Liggero offers a free 15-minute consult during which people can ask questions and she and the potential client can determine if they are a good fit.
