Natural Awakenings Greater Boston - Rhode Island

Free Talks on the Benefits of Chinese Medicine and Meditation

Amy Jo Gengler

Marlo Fogelman, owner of Marlo Marketing in Boston, will present a free, monthly health and wellness series featuring leading experts in alternative therapies. The next session, Chinese Medicine for Dummies, will be led by Flourish Boston’s Amy Jo Gengler from 6 to 7:30 p.m., October 21. “This series is our way of connecting those who teach with those who want to learn in a friendly, welcoming environment for people at all levels of interest,” says Fogelman. “I believe Natural Awakenings readers are constantly looking to educate themselves on topics related to natural health and wellness.”

During the October session, Gengler will address such questions as how acupuncture can help with acid reflux, how Chinese herbs can assist the body in healing naturally, and how incorporating Chinese medicine practices into daily life can improve health and longevity. The final fall session on November 18 will feature Andy Kelley, the “Blue Collar Buddha”, speaking about the benefits and practice of meditation.
