The Foundation for Bioethics in Technology aims to raise awareness of the Synthetic Biology revolution now occurring because of tools such as CRISPR (cas9) and various types of artificial intelligence. The Foundation understands that DNA and consciousness can be maligned during experimental processes resulting in possible irreversible alteration of life forms. With the goal of helping people that have been adversely affected by new technology, The Foundation offers a supportive community focused on navigating various aspects of this uncharted territory, not the least of which is assisting legislators in the creation of new laws ensuring consent and transparency as new (life) forms intersect or merge with the natural, organic world.
