Equine-Assisted Reiki & Animal Reiki 1 Certification Workshop

In this immersive course, we cover the essential foundations of traditional Japanese Reiki for mental-physical-spiritual wellbeing, and the practice of "offering" Reiki (often without touch) to all species of animals and their human companions, safely and respectfully.

This course is for all animal lovers, including those who are new to Reiki, as well as Reiki practitioners who want to add Animal Reiki techniques to their practice.

Course schedule & locations:

The training will begin with an introduction to Reiki self-care techniques on Thursday & Friday evenings. This part of the training will cover Japanese Reiki 1 (Shoden level) techniques, and especially welcomes animal rescuers, veterans, first responders, school staff and educators, emergency staff, and others who are on the “front lines” of caring for others, to help with maintaining personal wellbeing in high-stress environments.

We will continue with Animal Reiki 1 training on Saturday & Sunday afternoons (Let Animals Lead® method developed by Kathleen Prasad). This part of the training is suitable for all Reiki 1+ students and practitioners. Practice will be conducted on-site with resident life-coaching equines.

The training will conclude on Tuesday with a day of guided Reiki practice sessions at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.
