Choosing Mindfulness in the Age of COVID - Designed Specifically for the LGBTQIA Community
3- Hour Workshop
With this offering, we are creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming place to explore Mindfulness and Self-Compassion. We are inviting you to bring your authentic self, even that which lies beneath. Together we can hold a space for what happened in the past, for the feelings we harbor, and move forward with wholeness and pride.
In this program, we will:
- Better understand what Mindfulness is and is not, both the science and the experiential practices
- Begin to consciously and systematically work with our own stress, pain, illness, and the challenges and demands of everyday life
- Help restore within ourselves a balanced sense of well-being, including an increased awareness of all aspects of ourselves
- Engage in practices of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, which involve learning how we can explicitly comfort and care for ourselves in this moment
