This co-ed Active Stretching class met in Downtown Maynard, Mass. since 2003. It now safely meets weekly via ZOOM each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm and every Friday morning at 10:00 am for one hour. The instructor is Barry Bailey, a licensed Massage Therapist and Active Stretching Instructor/Coach. Cost of each class is $10 paid via PayPal or by personal check. The class is appropriate for all ages and all levels of fitness. Active Stretching is NATURAL stretching and is appropriate for every BODY. Active Stretching accelerates muscle growth for those looking to build or maintain muscles, it helps to maintain bone mass, and it effectively and quickly relieves stiff joints, tight muscles and body aches. It can also reverse some of the effects of aging when done consistently. Active Stretching is an excellent complement to Yoga, aerobics, a gym workout, running, walking, swimming or any activity that uses muscles. It also is appropriate for those who are inactive or who sit a lot. Active Stretching is the stretching used by numerous professional sports teams and by many award-winning Olympic Athletes. But it is gentle enough even for those with physical limitations such as injuries and age. Active Stretching is full-body effective. It benefits every cell and every organ of your body.
