Have you longed to try your hand at blacksmithing? Do you want to improve your skills? This course is one of two beginner level courses. This class will cover between 4 and 6 projects introducing skills such as tapering, drawing, upsetting, hot splitting, twisting, punching, riveting, and drifting .The number of Projects will depend on the progress of the class. Class discussion will include shop safety, shop layout, project planning, and shopping for tools and materials. This series of 6, 3 hour sessions will be a fun and enjoyable encounter with hot metal in a friendly, supportive and informative environment. Required equipment for the course include safety glasses and leather gloves with more details to follow in the introduction letter that will be emailed after the class roster has been filled.
