The Wickford Art Association invites the public to experience Behind the Lens, a juried photography exhibit showcasing a diverse collection of photographic works by participating artists. The exhibition opens on Friday, March 13 and will be on display through April 12 at the Wickford Art Association Gallery, located at 36 Beach Street in North Kingstown.

This exhibit highlights the creativity and technical skill of photographers working in a wide range of styles and approaches, from striking landscapes and thoughtful portraits to experimental and abstract imagery. Each photograph reflects the artist’s unique perspective and ability to capture compelling moments through the lens.

The exhibit was juried by Michael DiStefano, an accomplished photographer whose work and expertise bring a thoughtful eye to the selection process. DiStefano reviewed submissions from numerous artists and selected pieces that demonstrate both artistic excellence and a strong sense of visual storytelling.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore how photographers interpret light, composition, and subject matter in distinctive ways, revealing the many possibilities of the photographic medium. Behind the Lens will be open to the public during regular gallery hours. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.

The Wickford Art Association has supported and promoted the arts in the community since 1962 through exhibitions, educational programming, and special events, including the internationally recognized Wickford Art Festival.
