The Integrative Health Speaker Series-Women's Wellness Event
The Integrative Health Speaker Series is a women-centered event created to support open conversation, learning, and connection.
Let’s Talk: Integrative Approaches to Thyroid Health Understanding thyroid health through Ayurveda, autoimmunity, hormone communication, nutrition, and everyday habits
An in-person integrative expert panel designed to bring clarity to one of the most common and often misunderstood areas of women’s health: the thyroid. Join us for an evening that makes sense of the symptoms so many women experience—fatigue, brain fog, weight changes, feeling cold, inflamed, or simply “off”—and why they are often overlooked or dismissed.
Purely Present Health is pleased to present this event as part of the Integrative Health Speaker Series, a community-centered gathering created to make thoughtful, integrative health education more accessible.
This panel takes a root-cause look at thyroid health within the context of the whole body. Rather than viewing the thyroid as an isolated gland or a single lab value, we’ll explore how it functions as part of a broader communication network involving the brain, metabolism, immune system, digestion, and stress response.
Drawing from integrative medicine, nutrition science, behavioral health, and systems-based care, our speakers will help connect the dots on why symptoms can persist even when labs are considered “normal,” and what may be missing from that conversation.
You’ll hear from four expert practitioners who will break down complex physiology into meaningful, real-life insight you can actually use. We’ll explore topics like:
• Why thyroid symptoms are often missed or attributed to stress, perimenopause, or burnout
• The role of autoimmunity, including Hashimoto’s, in ongoing thyroid-related symptoms
• How thyroid hormones interact with metabolism, the nervous system, and other hormonal systems
• How frameworks like Ayurveda help explain connections between digestion, stress physiology, and thyroid health
• Practical, realistic habits that support thyroid function without rigid or overwhelming protocols Doors open at 6:00 pm. Come early to shop and connect with our local vendors before the panel begins.
