Food is Medicine Summit Highlights Innovation, Equity and Progress

The third annual Food is Medicine National Summit will take place October 8 and 9, 2025, at the Jaharis Family Center for Biomedical and Nutrition Sciences, in Boston, Massachusetts, bringing together leaders from health care, academia, policy, business and community organizations to examine the role of nutrition in improving health outcomes.

The first day of the summit will also be streamed live from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Virtual attendance is free and open to participants worldwide. The two-day event features keynote speeches, interactive workshops and panel discussions focused on the latest research and innovations in using food as a therapeutic intervention. Participants will include clinicians, healthcare leaders, policy makers, community advocates, entrepreneurs, investors and patients with lived experiences.

The summit will highlight both the real-world progress and the challenges of implementing food is medicine programs, with a focus on effectiveness and equity. Last year’s event drew more than 200 in-person attendees and more than 1,000 online participants.

The event is free to attend, thanks to the generous support from The Rockefeller Foundation, Kaiser Permanente and John Hancock. Location: 150 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA. For more information or to register, visit the TuftsfimSummit.org.
