Veterinary Board Reinstates Dr. Margo Roman’s License to Practice

Margo Roman, DVM, CVA, COT, CPT, FAAO

Dr. Margo Roman, owner of Main Street Animal Services of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, has resumed seeing patients after the state veterinary board voted last month to reinstate her veterinary license. Roman has been a pioneer in the field due to her holistic practices and her work with microbiome replacement therapy and ozone treatment.

“To everyone who wrote letters in support of my request for reinstatement: Thank you so very much. I think your efforts had an influence on the board,” shares Roman. “Although I have been reinstated, I am still pursuing a certified petition to the United States Supreme Court to create a positive precedent concerning First Amendment Rights and the defense of the Veterinary Oath and the Principles of Veterinary Ethics.”

Aligned with her mission to bring awareness about integrative veterinary medicine to the world, Roman attended the recent American Holistic Veterinarian Medical Association meeting. “The emotional support from my colleagues at this conference helped me realize how important it was for me to continue to work to introduce holistic veterinary care to more providers,” she added.

Roman also recently released another book co-authored with Dr. Jyl Rubin, A Practical Guide to Veterinary Medical Ozone Therapy.
