The LASA Free Medical Clinic, an opportunity for Greater Lowell, Massachusetts, residents to receive free preventive care, health guidance and help in navigating coverage options, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on October 17, 2026, at the Sai Unity Center. Services will include basic health screenings, specialist consultations, MassHealth registration support and flu vaccinations.

Volunteer clinicians and community partners will answer questions, identify health concerns early and connect patients with follow-up resources after the clinic.

The event is designed for individuals and families that may delay care because of cost, language, transportation or uncertainty about how to start. Visitors will have access to interpreters across different languages. With screenings, vaccinations, specialty guidance and enrollment assistance in one familiar community setting, LASA aims to make preventive care easier to access.

The clinic builds on LASA’s ongoing community health outreach, including additional expanded services which included pulmonology, ultrasound imaging and communicable disease screenings, provided with support from the Massachusetts Association of Portuguese Speakers at the spring event that will continue in October. Organizers noted that the additions reflect the clinic’s “ongoing commitment to deepen the scope of care it can offer.”
