Natural Awakenings Greater Boston - Rhode Island

Free Movement Screenings to Help Identify Persistent Pain

Dr. Matthew D’Elia

Force In Motion Therapy will operate a booth from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday in August at the Conimicut Village Community Market, in Warwick, Rhode Island, offering free, brief consultations and mini movement checks that can help active adults understand why some of their pain may keep coming back and what their past treatments may have missed. Staff will provide long-lasting, movement-based pain prevention and management solutions that align with holistic lifestyles.

Visitors to their booth will learn how to recognize patterns in their own recurring pain, obtain clarity on what’s really causing it and what past care may have not adequately addressed, so they can make more informed, holistic choices about their movement, activity and longterm health.

“Many people have already tried stretching, exercise programs, injections or even previous physical therapy, yet their back, shoulder or knee pain keeps returning. The real question they carry is, ‘Why does this keep happening?’ rather than ‘Which treatment should I choose?’” says Dr. Matthew D’Elia, PT, DPT, CSCS, FDNS, CF-1, owner of Force in Motion Therapy. “Community members who are curious about why their pain persists, and what a more targeted plan could look like, are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, and take the first step toward a solution that finally makes sense.”

Event location: William Shields Post #43, 662 W. Shore Rd., Warwick, RI. For more information, call 4401-298-9480, email [email protected] or visit ForceInMotionTherapy.com.
